Description of library facilities: Among the facilities of the Cullom-Davis Library is the Virginius H. Chase Special Collections Center, established in 1979 in honor of a peorian who became a widely recognized authority on the botany and natural history of Illinois; it houses and exhibits rate books, manuscripts, archival materials, and other resources that require special management, including the collections of the Peoria Historical Society and the Citizens to Preserve jubilee College.
