Description of library facilities: Chemistry Library, Fine Arts Library, Physics Library, and the Young Law Library Special Collections: Notable collections include the papers of former U.S. Senators J. William Fulbright, Dale Bumpers and David Pryor, Civil Rights Activist Daisy Bates, poet John Gould Fletcher, folklorist Vance Randolph, African-American composer William Grant Still, architect Edward D. Stone, and the Archives for the Council of the International Exchange of Scholars. The dept. of Special Collections comprises approx. 1,400 manuscript collections for research in the history, culture, and literature of Arkansas and surrounding regions, as well as a large collection of printed materials about Arkansas, and a modest rare book collection.
